Take Me to the Solutions
Since our birth, our minds have been
constantly bombarded by false stories. We've been
lied to about everything you can possible imagine.
Personal Fairytales:
Here are just a few examples of the personal fairytales that were
plug into our minds before we were old enough to know fact from
fiction: Santa Clause -- The tooth fairy
-- The Easter bunny -- Sex is dirty / bad
/sinful / et ctera.
Religious Fairytales:
No matter what religion your parents believed in and/or didn't
believe in, and no matter what social and political surroundings
you grew up in, you got
bombarded with false religious stories. Here are some of
the Christian fairytales: We are separate
from
Creator/God, separate from nature, and separate from each other
-- Original sin -- God's instantaneous,
supernatural, transcendental, conception magic act --
The rapture.
Most promoters of life-controlling
beliefs are honest and tell you what they, themselves, believe,
however, there are those who use religious, economic,
cultural, and political
beliefs to promote their hidden agendas and/or to make money.
Social
Illusions:
Here are a few of the social illusions that get promoted daily
by way of the public media:
We can continue to
destroy our environment and not reap the consequences --
Violence solves problems -- Constant economic growth
is a realistic business model -- Human
overpopulation can simply be ignored -- Yes, there
are environmental problems, but we deal with them later.

How It
Happens:
Beliefs may enter our minds by direct statements.
They also come to us indirectly, often without our even knowing
that our minds are being programmed. Here are some
examples:
By implication (by what a statement
says without saying it) -- By simply
believing what others believe and acting as others act --
By buying
into the existing collective illusions --- By
misusing words -- By being included in an
otherwise entertainment story -- By intentionally-deceptive advertising.
Implication: The classic example of
this is the question: "Have you stopped beating your wife?
The unspoken message is that the person being asked this
question is a wife beater.
Mindless Beliefs and Behavior:
Have you ever done something just because
you saw someone else do it? Of course!
We all have. That's a normal learning process, but
we don't need to be mindles, blind followers.
"Monkey see, monkey do, monkey get in
trouble, too."
Collective Illusions: Some of the
most destructive false messages come from religion.
Here's the most blatant and most destructive religious
misstatement of all times: Humans are separate from
Creator/God, separate from nature, and separate from each other.
Misusing Words: "Pro-abortion"
and "Partial-birth abortion" both give highly emotional
and completely false messages. Nobody is
pro-abortion. Abortion is the choice of last resort.
Partial-birth abortion implies
that women in hospitals in the middle of delivering their babies
decide that they don't want the baby so they and their doctor
kill it, instead.
Cloaked in entertainment: Thousands of
commercial products are intentionally inserted into films and
videos. The product manufactures pay the film makers
to include their products in the film/video. The goal (the
intended message) is to give the impression that its use is a normal part of our culture.
Smoking cigarettes is the most obvious and most destructive
example of this underhanded mind-programming.
Fortunately, underhandedly promoting cigarette smoking is no longer
in vogue, at least here in the USA. Unfortunately,
hundreds of other unhealthy products have stepped in to fill the
void. Drinking carbonated beverages is an obvious
example.
Deceptive Advertising: How many
advertisers tell the full truth about their products?
For example, when have you ever heard the soft drink
sellers
tell you that their products rot your teeth and throw you
body's acid-alkaline balance way out of kilter?
Political Deception: Most state and
national politicians speak and vote to satisfy their corporate
sponsors. They do not serve the public interest.
When a national
politician tells you something about a controversial issue or
about another political candidate, you can pretty much
guarantee that you're getting only a piece of the truth.
For example, the overwhelming evidence
tells us that anti-drug laws are social, political, and economic
disasters, that they are antiquated, dysfunctional,
incredibly-expensive, highly-destructive, all-but-useless, and
they simply don't work. Did you ever wonder why
most politicians still speak and
vote in favor of keeping and enforcing the
drug-prohibition laws?
Lies of
Commission and Lies of Omission:
Deceiving others (particularly by omitting portions of the truth) is
rampant, wide spread, and commonly accepted as the way of life.
Deception is used to get us to speak and/or take action to support what
someone else wants at the expense of our own best interests.
It's all but impossible not to, at least occasionally, get suckered in and chumped by the silver-tongued liars .
